When reading the index, I was surprised to see an update to the weight of the flame cannon. Where did this "new" information come from?

I would expect that much of the 15 kg this weapon now weigh is in fact the tripod that it is usually mounted on. Is that so? But I would be thrilled to get some more information!

It's from the Wizards thread "Rodney's answers to Galaxy at War" found here:
community.wizards.com

The book states that the flame cannon is 0.5 kg. That can't possibly be correct. So Rodney was asked:

Q. Is the flame cannon really supposed to weigh 0.5 kg?

A. It's a typo, the actual weight should be about 15 kg.

I'm trying to browse for ranged weapons, but I can't tell what columns are suppose to show their most vital statistics?  Damage dice, autofire, accurate, inaccurate, etc.

The columns are labeled at the top. Are you saying you don't see any information at all?

Right, I just don't see the columns containing the information I seek.  Column J does have a brief description for some items, and there are other columns that are only relevant to some weapons (special crit rules, etc.), but the 'main' information isn't visible.

On range weapons look up at the very top and that row in blue has
the descriptions of what is in that column.
the first column is the book it is in
second column page number of the book it is in
third column is a web link to wookieepedia for more info and pictures
fourth column is the name of the weapon
fifth column is the type, rifle, pistol, heavy, simple, exotic
sixth column is the weapon size, different from item size
seventh column is cost found in the books
eight column is your damage die numbers
ninth stun column for those with stun option
tenth column is rate of fire options, single or autofire or both.

Hope that helps.

The brilliant user error on my part was not noticing, after extracting the .zip without paying attention the first time, that there are two Excel sheets contained therein!  I noticed the other one when I decided to just try downloading it again.  I feel very silly.

Thanks!

To me the 15 kg sounds about right. I would assume that 10 kg is the weight of the tripod, as that would be the same as on a E-Web then. But as we generally don't keep track of the weight of attachments in SAGA that would be of minor interest.

Yes, there are two files that make up the complete Saga Index. I will make a note in the original post to clear up any confusion.

I added an object tab for object stats that our group has dealt with. Like to know to uploadit to have you guys go over it to see if we got it right. A lot of it is going to be judgment calls mostly any way. But we struggle with the two different size categories and Ref Def.

Can anyone help?

Use Mediafire to share the file and we'll take a look.

Ok I think I got this figured out, test run. The objects tab is the last tab. Sorry I posted an old back up one at first.

Index with add object tab

When checking make sure I got the item size/weapon size/Ref Def right. I have trouble with that crap, the reason I made the tab, so as to be a quick look up. Far as the rest goes, to each his/her own. All you have to go by for some stuff is the few examples of things they give and try and best guess/estimate it from there. So I did what I felt was close.

The latest version of Saga Index is 3.2. I plan to release a new version with some other new modifications and corrections.
Cool, I have noticed that some of the pricing on armor is a bit off. Not saying that they are wrong, just that they may be improved.

As Snowtrooper and Sandtrooper armor are both priced at 18,000 credits, it would be a good guess that Radtrooper and EVO-trooper armor would cost the same. They are all environmentally adapted ST armors after all. With the huge bonus to Fort Defense, Radtrooper armor would definitely be worth it!

The pricing on the armor upgrades shield generator, SR 10 and SR 5, has switched places.

Last but not least, would you add me to the credits page? I did provide the Tech Specialist tab and many corrections over the years.

If you give me the heads up, maybe I will look into that Sith Alchemy tab we have been discussing earlier.

If you're going for a new version I might have some questions and nitpicks.

Spoiler (hover to show)

For future reference, is it best to post or PM suggestions?

Regarding Radtrooper armor, it bugs me that it has better base stats than other specialtrooper armors. I even suspected a typing error, since most of the others are 6 Ref, 2 Fort and a special quality.

Ok. Why are they listed as 8000 cr in the index? I wonder where that price came from.

Actually the pricing is completely off, I’ll make the correction.

Sure. You are already in the Saga Index credits, but I’ll add you to the Saga Character too.

Refresh my memory, what was the Sith Alchemy tab?

If you're going for a new version I might have some questions and nitpicks.

In the Character file:
- What is the difference between the Skill, Use and Skill uses 1.8? Also, in the last one LotF is mentioned, which I didn't realize it was actually LECG. (my bad)

Skill Uses 1.8 was a tab someone made. Since it contained more detail than the Use tab, I decided to include it. Skills tab contains the very basic class skill information

- Clarification in the Char.Creation+sizes and 0 NPCS regarding starting hp and one-half level damage bonus of nonheroics and beasts. (I don't know if they should start with dicesizex3, dicesize or average dicesize hp, but I recently discovered that beasts get one-half level damage bonus as per SECR p.274)

Not sure about the starting hp. I’ll make a note about the ½ beast level to damage. I don’t pay much attention to the 0NPC tab since I don’t really use it.

In the Index file:
- Add Focused Fire (SotG p.55) to Rules of note tabs, took me a while to find what it was after I read it in DoD 3.

Ok.

Oh and a "this is version 3.x" in some easy-to-spot place.

Can do.

For future reference, is it best to post or PM suggestions?

Post any suggestions or corrections here.

Regarding Radtrooper armor, it bugs me that it has better base stats than other specialtrooper armors. I even suspected a typing error, since most of the others are 6 Ref, 2 Fort and a special quality.

Its stats are listed in TFU page 180 under the Radtrooper’s possessions: “Radtrooper armor with helmet package (+6 armor bonus, +4 equipment, +10 equipment bonus to Fortitude Defense against radiation hazards).”

Thanks for answering.

I knew Radtrooper values were clearly stated in the books, I just don't like them!
