This is the new home for the Saga Index. For those of you that don't know what this is, it is an Excel reference sheet that contains the book and page numbers (and brief descriptions) of all feats, talents, species, droids, NPCs, force powers, weapons, armor, and nearly everything you could possibly think of that has to do with Saga Edition. Credit goes to Shane A. Thelen (ewokontoast) and Staffan Bengtsson (JemyM).

Download the Saga Index (v.4.0)!

Note that there are TWO files here: one called "Saga Index" and one called "Saga Character." Both files make up the complete Saga Index.

This is what has been updated in version 4.0:
-Updated until September 4, 2014
-Added many new melee and ranged weapons and armor and equipment found in statblocks
-Corrections on damage dice and damage type
-Added Thrown weapon/Reach weapon column in "Melee" tab
-Updated the "w" webpage hyperlinks to Wookieepedia
-Added Weight column in "Accessories" tab
-Added optional rules from Web Articles in "Rules of Note" tab
-Added new info to "Beast Traits" tab

-If you want to see a visual change of all corrections and changes made since the last version (3.2), download Saga Index v.4.0g. The changes are in green text.

Thanks richterbelmont10! It started as such a simple project...

We were the 4th most viewed thread in the old Mess Hall behind kenad broki's not generator, official errata and upcoming projects, I was amazed when I saw that.

October will be the five year anniversary, Oct 17, 2008, of the Index and I'm so glad for all the feedback and appreciation.

I'm just glad you've taken over the grunt work, hosting & have enhanced it my friend!

I'll read a SW novel and then go search for stats, etc. afterward. Also, I've got some stuff to drop into our Dropbox account in the next couple weeks...

Are you sure you added the "zero" in front of all the books? Example:

"0 Core Rulebook.pdf"

Can you make an .xslx version of these files? The older .xls 2004 format isn't working properly in Excel for Mac/OSX, while the newer Excel 2007/2010 .xslx files do work on Mac.
The problem is the Visual Basic code. Often a "save-as Excel 2007/2010 .xlsx" format is sufficient, and otherwise I think Excel will warn you.

If an .xslx file works on Windows it will work on Mac/OSX so you can test yourself, you don't need a Mac to test. If it doesn't work I can accept that you don't have the time to make it work.

This does open on the Mac without any errors about missing DLLs (OSx doesn't use DLLs). But it apparently also doesn't contain any VB macros (VBA editor comes up empty). Are those needed? The file seems to be plenty useful without any. (especially if you unhide column D ;-)

I didn't know there was a Planet Generator, but it works fine.

Glad to hear the sheet is working! I may include a copy of the Index in xlsx format into the zip file.

When reading the index, I was surprised to see an update to the weight of the flame cannon. Where did this "new" information come from?

I would expect that much of the 15 kg this weapon now weigh is in fact the tripod that it is usually mounted on. Is that so? But I would be thrilled to get some more information!
