I've been composing some stats from the NuCanon. From ships to characters, equipment to the Force. I've been going from Rebels to The Force Awakens. And I plan to go further through each movie, along with all the rest of the material they release. Fortunately, we already have rules for everything they've released thus far. Saga Edition already has allot of material, and while we probably don't need a new sourcebook, I'd like to at least have one for stuff not already covered. After all is said and done, I want to combine all this into a nice pdf, hopefully covering the sequel trilogy, Rebels, and the 3 anthology movies.
First up is my rendition of the CEC VCX-100, the stock version of the
Ghost from Rebels, and then following that I will put the
Ghost. I think this is a good baseline for the stock version. Based on the looks of the
Ghost, I'd say the little shuttle is stock as it seems to fit the contours of the ship a bit to well to be considered an aftermarket mod. Although I suppose with enough credits, you could probably do anything, I don't feel like this is something that would be splurged on considering what they are doing at this point in the timeline.
CEC VCX-100CEC VCX-101 ShuttleThis is an upgrade/refit for the shuttle. As seen later, it ends up with a astromech socket and a dorsal turret. This version is just the socket, as I felt that would be a simple upgrade with a hyperdrive and would likely be a thing CEC might do, both as production and as an aftermarket kit.
CEC VCX-101A ShuttleAs far as I can tell, the
ghost appears mostly stock. The same could be said of the
Millenium Falcon, and can probably be said of other similar ship designed in the idea of the
Falcon - the
Outrider and
Ebon Hawk to name just a couple. From what I can tell, both the show and what other bits of intel have been released, it looks like it's been upgraded with shields, more powerful nose canons, speed, a bit more armor, and probably a few unknown upgrades. I would assume that like the previously mentioned ships, it has been heavily modified by the owners, but that info hasn't been released yet. So my version here has those things, including a Combat Thrusters upgrade, thus allowing it to juke like a fighter. The only thing I haven't added yet are the mods sensor baffling/baffled drive, perhaps a sensor decoy (I think there was one episode where they used one), or maybe a masked/disguised transponder. Of those, I feel like they would have the sensor baffle (stealth paint job), and probably one of the transponder mods, and probably the sensor decoy.
Regarding it's 3 turretsGhostThe Phantom has been upgraded as well. In the show it goes from the origional form to gaining an astromech and a small dorsal turret. I am curious as to who fires that turret, though. Assuming Chopper is a 2nd degree droid and hasn't been reprogrammed to be a 4th degree*, then it would be impossible for him to fire. But near as I can tell, there are no other controls in the shuttle except the pilot and the button for the door.
Phantom*Chopper: Given what I have seen him do, and the attitude he displays towards actually harming living beings, you could probably argue that he may have been programmed or somehow has that ability when most 2nd degree's don't. I know he's a utility/astromech, but anything else is a guess for the most part, and so I'm not sure what to do with that. I mean, he did blow up a TIE fighter in that one early short.
I'll post some other things later. Including the Rebels themselves, and some stuff from TFA.
