As always I appreciate how willing you guys are to put up with my questions :) i have another one for you guys this day.

How balanced would you all say this capital ship is compared to other ships in it's class? https://swse.fandom.com/wiki/Arquitens-Class_Light_Cruiser
Is there something official that matches up with it? I'm in a clone wars campaign and it's all our first time playing and so we haven't had much space stuff but I'm a huge fan of clone wars era stuff and want to have a fun small military ship (we are part of the republic military in the campaign) that isn't something over the top like a Venator but possibly able to carry a few fighters/shuttles.

What is the smallest ship that can carry at least one fighter? The smallest i found was the hammerhead cruisers or the marauder. Is there any smaller
One of my favorite ships, the Citadel-Class Cruiser. The only Colossal space transport I know that can carry 2 fighters. With a few upgrades you have a great ship for a group of mercenaries, pirates or rebells.

Perfect thanks :)

We can dual-gear it with a riot shield for no extra weight and added benefits.

Remember that Dual Gear can be one thing or the other thing; it's NOT both at the same time.

Can dual gear be used to put it into a piece of armor? I ask looking to see if it means handheld as in you can't have two guns

Is +1 reflex def worth 10kg of weight as a droid vs getting something like a shield generator? I will admit I haven't looked too much into shield.generators but 10kg is a lot.
This is an item that can be great if you already have armor. Armor can be good or great and you often find that you want to improve the protection as much as you can. But after a few upgrades you can't get any further.

With a shield that adds to Reflex Defense you can have another item that can be upgraded to get even higher with Reflex Defense. Tech Specialist and Superior Tech can potentially add +1 or +2 to that +1 it has from the start. This can be great for anyone for added protection.

The Miniaturization upgrade can cut the weight in half. If we consider this armor, we can instead use the Armorplast upgrade with the same result.

We can dual-gear it with a riot shield for no extra weight and added benefits.

Knowing that that can benefit from. Tech specialist does make it sound a lot more intriguing. Thanks! Also i need to remember that a shield is more of a reduction in damage taken when it exceeds the health of the shield, where a micro shield can help me completely negate the damage taken.

The value of +1 REF may depend a bit on where your REF is at and then comparing it to Shield Generators as a damage reduction tool depends on the shield.

You can often think of REF boosts as cutting expected damage by (bonus/how many number they hit you with).  If they hit you with almost any attack a +1 boost to REF is about a 5% reduction in expected damage each turn as that many more attacks miss; on the other end if they needed to roll a 16+ to hit you now adding +1 to your REF is almost like reducing damage 20%.  I qualify these as "almost" because I'm ignoring crits (if they need a crit to hit you then +1 REF doesn't help you at all!) and also ignoring damage that can get through even if the attack misses your REF.

DR is a straight up reduction in damage taken but looking at that as a percentage depends entirely on how much damage is expected to get through.  DR 5 is extremely effective against many unarmed attacks and other low damage outputs but if something's average damage roll is 25+ then it's much less impressive.  SR is a bit like DR except that it goes down if it's overcome; if expected damage will top SR I generally look at SR as bonus hit points but against low enough damage SR can stop you from taking damage.  SR/DR are also generally effective against ALL damage sources.

As a droid I'd generally prefer the SR.

Gotcha thanks. Now can droids be trained in endurance to be able to recharge the shields? Because using 3 swift actions to recharge it if you can beat that roll would be pretty nice.

And is the roll done before or after the actions are spent? In other words. Do I have to spend those actions regardless of if I fail or succeed at the recharge.

Now the micro shield if I'm reading it right, if it's attached to a droid that looks like it doesn't need an energy cell?
True, the attached shield would run on the droids power supply. The handheld version need an energy cell, but anyone could use it. They don't need to be a droid.

I say 10kg is a log but i should probably add that I only have i think 50kg carry weight.  I have a 10strength and am medium size.

Sure, that looks like a Riot Shield from page 77 of Threats to the Galaxy.

But you may want to look at the Micro Shield on page 60 of Scavengers Guide to Droids as well.

That looks a lot like what I'm looking for thanks!

Now the micro shield if I'm reading it right, if it's attached to a droid that looks like it doesn't need an energy cell?

Also thank you StevenO!

I am looking into some stuff but im curious.  is there anything like a melee shield similar to what the Mandalorian guards have in the clone wars show? https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/5/5f/MandoSecretService-SWE.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/410?cb=20160912055047

Throwing it up and getting it "secured" is often a much bigger challenge than securing it and dropping it down.  This is where allies can certainly come in handy.

This is where me as a droid with an internal grapple gun comes in handy too :)

Perfect as always thank guys! So simply put it's a tightly wound coil of rope that I can throw or tie around something to climb up or down it.

If I want a winch i could get an ascension gun or possibly a winch attachment to go up easily. Dope thanks!

Different post as it's a different question. Is the liquid cable dispenser for downward movement only? Or would it be able to launch a cable upwards? Or is that the difference between it and like the droids internal grapple gun?

That is not realy something they are meant to do well. I'm not sure they can use the full attack action!

But if we want to do this anyway, we will have to go with droid followers. If you have two feats to spare on the follower, those can be re reprogrammed into the feats you need. The marvellous flexibility of droids!

I would assume they can use the full attack option as they can do full actions and take the place of the users actions? But the droids is a good idea!

I'm curious. Is there any way to get a follower that would be able to dual wield effectively? Only way I can think would be a follower and a player with the officer and sharing it as shared feat but i don't think we'd be able to get past the first rank of dual wielding?
Besides that an Officer to not share FEATS but rather talents.

I completely mixed that up. My bad!
