My contribution to the contest was originally inspired by the following Robot Chicken Star Wars skit.

However as I developed it, I also began to wonder about the concept of the Imperial Navy's officer corps having a tendency for their members to "fail upward" and advancement stemming from throwing fellow officers under the bus.  As such it's a little bit of a concept build, centered around social treachery and backstabbing, but I did try to give it viable combat abilities as well.

So I present to you the "Commander Winston" build!  It's laid out in such a way as to be usable at any point in the levelling process, although certain benchmark points are noted when particularly appropriate.

Han raises a brow at the sheer bloodthirstiness of the one speaking on the encrypted comms.  Glancing down from his position at Lady Valles, he ranged his eyes over the other figures clumped together by the squads, trying to pick out the aggressive one from the bunch.

Well...  I can't speak for anyone else, but this particular Jedi is prepared to let diplomacy have a chance getting the package back before writing all other peaceful options out.  I'm also rather curious why you seem to think the Jedi should be taking hasty orders to rush in there, given the ship is disabled and the operational tempo is now being decided on our terms.  But I'd be gratified to hear what my fellow General thinks of all this?  Do you agree that the aggressive offense is the ideal solution here, General Kol?

Han's expression is incredulous.  On the secure Republic com, he comments.  Surely not!  He can't be serious...  There's no guarantee they'd keep their word with those terms!!!

Switching to the open frequency, Han chirps back in a cheerfully laissez-faire manner "In our moment of triumph?!  I think you overestimate your chances!

"Oh hello there..." murmured Han as the freighter shuddered and powered up.  Patting the V-19 appreciatively, he nimbly stood up from where he landed, scrambling up the fighter and into its cockpit.  Without second thought, he already had the fighter's repulsor drives running, lasers trained upon the freighter, and spoke over the comm-link.

"Heads down if you please, it's about to get a bit unruly, with apologies to Lady Valle..."   Han then transmits to the freighter.  "You can't win, you know.   But there are other alternatives to fighting."

He pulls the trigger and fires at the freighter, trusting in the Force to disable it and keep it from leaving.

The dropped grenade was falling to the floor when the Force nudged Han's perceptions towards the parked V-19 some distance away.  Still under the enhanced push of Jedi strength and reflexes, he took to the air in a leap of faith, and safely landed flat on the deck behind the starfighter as the explosive went went off.

Han saw the movement of Okked and nearly swung his blade in reaction, then he held his strike as he saw the alien moving to shield his fallen compatriot.  The blue-skinned Duran had not attacked anyone as of yet, only proving himself to be a hindrance to others on the battlefield.  The Living Force had guided Han all his time within the Order, and he felt it now urging him to choose life...
