I just think Diceling wants the game to start  ;)

Well, yes. That too. :) But I also figured that starting the game with a prelude would perhaps take the pressure off our beloved GM and get his creative juices flowing.

Mudtop, you or anyone is more then welcome to assist. Yes, I'll change things so you aren't 100% in the loop, but at this point I'll take the help.

As for Dice's idea, I've been there for the last two-three weeks. There are some changes in the basics of Krayt (The Stormfall was retired after the Vong War. You guys now work out of a new Capital Ship). Some command changes that will effect the legacy of Chapter 1 characters, etc. So I can have you guys react to those changes.

That sounds like a nice setup, and a good way to get going. :)

Its not encounters, or even NPC builds. Its creating a new faction the team will take on and not have it in anyway like the Shadow Forces in Chp 1. I need something with a cool flare while not using any known (or made up) Force users/groups. Its hard to separate the cunning and wicked in SW without using Dark side users. Stuff like the Black Sun, etc would work but are overplayed.

Also, the Shadow Forces were one of the last minute, omfg I need something now creations. Draco was created in 3 hours with 3 rebuilds and I evolved his story quickly. Both were not part of the original plan for the game. I'm usually good at making crap up as I go, but you guys deserve better.

I don't know if it'll help you, but perhaps we could get the game going with wome light-hearted RPing and character development: perhaps a simple extraction mission (Alpha is sent in to extract another team that's been pinned down or rescue hostages or something like that). that has nothing to do with the main part of the story (something like a prelude). Maybe starting the game will kickstart your creative juices?

Just a thought. :)

Yeah! I've been waiting for it and am ready to go.

Yes, I know all of you are ready. I'm just the weirdo making you wait so long. Thank you for waiting patiently and not rioting

*puts down the as-of-yet unlit molotov cocktail*

No problem, MA! We can wait, absolutely. No rioting here, no sir! *hrm cough*

Jokes aside: truly no problem! Life keeps us all busy, and if Chapter 1 was any indication of things to come, it'll be well worth the wait.

I'll talk to Hike as soon as I can.

You have my build in your inbox, right? I did send it?

Diceling - Leana Armon: Squad Commander : The unfinished ( has far as written ) is on his creation page, general section : http://thesagacontinues.createaforum.com/the-senate-8/diceling's-creations/

Correct, that is an unfinished build. The finished one has been sent to MasterArkaine via PM. :)

Star Wars Saga Edition General / Re: Random Search Document
« on: July 05, 2016, 08:57:20 am »
Given my inability to come up with decent things found when searching a room or searching through the deads' pockets, I am putting together an excel document that randomizes all of this. As a part of it, I am also adding in shops to randomize what is available at armories, equipment shops, and eventually droid and vehicle shops. This sheet does include the homebrewed equipment created by Fandom Comics.

Is this something that others would be interested in using?

Yes.

I've been toying with the idea of doing this myself. I've written a script to generate ship merchants, but not more than that. "Loot" generator would be awesome!

Stormfall start sounds good to me! Gives us a chance to get to know each other before hopping on our first mission.

I was planing on the role of medic, I'll say, post your build and we'll see ;)

I don't mind building a shocktrooper/heavy it's a role I do like a lot. And I'll prefer to give you seniority as I'm the new one !

DW has actually already posted his medic. Waaaay back when we started discussing Chapter 2. It's on page 46, if anyone's curious.

If you want to play medic and MA is fine with it I will switch to another role. No problem. What roles do we need filled then?

Heavy Weapons Specialist and Shock Trooper, IIRC.

Cain listened to the elaborate and informative answers from Draco, but remained sceptic. His journey into the Force had revealed nothing he did not already expect, and yet there was something very odd going on here. He couldnät wait to get out of here, he realized, and at Sardarias command, he stirred quickly.
"I'm not usually one to state the obvious..." he said to the room in general. "...but there's something very disturbing about all this." He looked over at Shkop and Sardaria who were the two highest ranking officers among them.
"I suggest we move back to our transport fast, but with caution. If ever there was a time to ambush us, it would be now."

Cain shook his head at Dracos words, his manner. There was something off about the whole thing. Draco claimed he wants to level the playing field, which Cain may be able to believe, but hardly that it would be the entire purpose. Draco had another plan, another motive. As Hyperian kept up the conversation, Cain closed his eyes and opened himself up to the force: searching and feeling for any anomaly, anything strange. There hadn't been anything before, but with the activation of the Holocron, things may have changed. He spent extra time on the room in which they stood, but then moved his senses out, methodically going over the temple as a whole.

Cain listened to Hyperian and then nodded to himself, making a mental note to return here later: they still needed to scour the computers amd comms for any and all information.
"Kinetic here, Acknowledged. Will move to temple area." He signaled his squad to get moving again and as they fell back into formation, Cain activated his comm again. "Oh, and if anyone happens on the power generator, see if you can't activate it. The entire comm area is running on fumes."

As Cain and his squad entered the meditation area, his eyes were immediately drawn to Hyperian holding the Sith Holocron and he could feel his entire body tense up. He had never seen the face of Draco, the archenemy of Hyperian, but he was pretty sure he was looking straight at it now.
"Hyperian..." he said, cautiously. "What's going on?"

All these characters are statted in Fandom Comics Clone Wars fan sourcebooks. I didn't look at the stats closely, but most of the Fandom Comics write-ups had ability scores over PB 28. Still, the easiest thing would be to just copy/paste and print out their stat blocks, then take off 30 (or more) hp to downgrade them a little and simulate some nonheroic levels.

Bultar and Jastus are in the Jedi Knights pdf. Sia-Lan is in Jedi Knights Part 2. Roblio, Ma'kis'shaalas and Shadday are in Jedi Knights Part 3. Koffi and Tsui Choi are in Jedi Masters Part 1.

I'll be darned! I didn't even know those sourcebooks existed.
Thank you, FTJ! :D

I'm not sure what Diceling will think of those but when I looked up a few of those the stats seemed to be around PB 28 which I'd expect for heroes.  What hurt them is the few I looked at all seemed to be well over that CL 12 level even for the so called Jedi Knight.  It may be possible to bring them down several points of CL; I'd probably look at exchanging 6 heroic levels in the builds for NH6 which I figure should lower CL -3 points each.  This is using my NH after 1st-level calculations which would have NH6 counting as CL 3 instead of only CL2.  It would likely cost them several points of defense, a number of hitpoints, and the class abilities (talents, bonus feats, and special abilities) and bit of damage in doing that but should leave the skills unchanged and could also leave most of the feats alone as there would be no real reduction in actual level.

Exchanging a level of Jedi for NH should cost about 4 hitpoints assuming it happens after 1st-level.

I've only looked a couple of them so far, but they do seem a bit over-CLed for my purposes, but that should be an easy fix.

Thanks to the both of you for taking the time and effort!

Star Wars Saga Edition General / Conclave on Kessel - Build help?
« on: May 13, 2016, 07:30:31 am »
So, in the game that I'm IRL game mastering, my players have managed to find out that there is a gathering of jedi on Kessel (as per the Conclave on Kessel event).

Now, what actually transpires once they're there is anyone's guess, but I have the feeling that I might need stat blocks for each of the eight Jedi present at the conclave.

To save me time and effort, and increase the chances of diversity in the builds, I turn you, fellow TSCers, and shamelessly ask for help with building the eight Jedi! If any of you are up for it, pick one of the eight from the list below, announce that you're doing so (so that others know and may choose another), and go nuts!

A few guidelines that you can use in constructing the build (or completely ignore, if you prefer):
28-point buy
Maximum CL 12
Preferably no destiny completed
They are NPCs, so NH levels are encouraged.

The eight Jedi:
Koffi Arana
Tsui Choi
Roblio Darté
Jastus Farr
Ma'kis'shaalas
Shadday Potkin
Bultar Swan
Sia-Lan Wezz

Squad Armon-Quidlo has headed out! Next stop, comm area!

Not sure you want the Skill checks, MA, but I figured I might as well put them in. :)
