Kai springs to his feet lightsabers at the ready and closes with Ferrus, a swarm of sabers that Ferrus evades.

“You can’t fight us all forever” Kai grunts, hoping to finally break through.

Spoiler (hover to show)

When Kor lands a ferocious blow on his back, Ferrus turns towards him, giving Kai the opening he needs.  He strikes the Sith Lord squarely from the flank, his blade burning a hole in Ferrus, a blow the Dark Lord couldn't possibly survive . . . . and yet he doesn't fall.

Spoiler: Delay Damage (hover to show)

The Sith Lord turns, driving the glowing green blade deeper into his side, but also managing to lock Kai's arm in a painful grip.  "I don't have to fight you forever!" He shows the Jedi the comlink he's been palming. "I just need to delay you long enough to deny you the prize you seek!"  He pushes the button, and the faint rumbling sounds of explosions echoes from deep within the command center.  Then he drives the debris shard he's been holding towards Kai's stomach.  "Here!  Let me return your gift to you!"  He glances at Kor.  "You might save yourself, but you can't save them both!" He then attempts to hurl Kai through the nearest window and winds up a kick to send Nathan through another window, sending the Jedi flying into the hangar with glass exploding around him.

Spoiler: Final Defiance (hover to show)

As he lets go Kai, Ferrus clutches at his side, his face drawn in pain.  He staggers and loses his balance, pitching into the crew pit below.  He lands with a loud crunching noise.  As the sounds of battle continue to rage outside for the city, Kor can see Ferrus roll over.  With a ragged cough, he grasps at the front of his armor, plucking the Sith insignia from his garb.  His hand curls around it and he lays his fist on his chest.  "I will never doubt," he whispers through bloody phelgm.  He lays his head back, closes his eyes, and the soul of Darth Ferrus, Lord of Iron, passes into the void.

Within the hour, the Galactic Alliance forces take control of the major cities and military facilities on Gala.  With the captured information as well as the prisoners of war, the Alliance will be able to leverage considerable advantage in future battles.

But for now, the heroes receive a brief but welcome message.  "Good work.  Now come on home."

Curious what the other Sith Lords looked like.

When it comes to "getting things done" I think it helps to have a somewhat obvious "finish line" to cross.

I guess those last few strikes and getting pushed the couple steps down the CT made all the difference.  30 damage missed DT but the -2 and now 29 does that's great (and he really would want to delay that).  Pushing that one additional step down the CT then makes sure Kai hits (battle strike's +1 certainly helped there as well).

A "funny" thing is that Nathan actually has better survival odds that Kai may.  When unconscious his FORT isn't penalized therefor it takes 22+ damage to kill him.  Kai's FORT/DT is lower to start with and now has the CT penalties although he should have a chance to "grab something" before falling out the window.

When discussing the chances Master Negotiator had against Ferrus with Merc we wondered about GAR Training.  All the more reason to destroy that Armor!!!

Thanks. This has been fun. It’s been great gaming with all of you. Great game well run sienn_sconn. Glad I got to join it.

It was fun seeing what you did with the kernel of an idea I had for Kai’s nemesis.

Great finale! Even with the destroyed armor, Ferrus managed to down two jedi - quite literaly.

It´s good we were able to bring the game to its conclusion. Though I have to say that the brief message lacked one very important thing for Gialle: "Your payment´s ready" :D

That ended quicker then I thought.

Could have been fun to see what happens next, but it's also fine to leave things as they are. At least we managed to beat the Sith lord.

Thanks for a good game and see you all around the forums!
