Lego Star Wars: All-Stars!
« on: March 04, 2019, 10:30:28 am »
I've been watching this show and the first few I saw (not in order) were alright, they mostly tied into the TFA, TLJ, and Solo so I wasn't terribly into it, though they were a bit fun.  But yesterday one of the episodes caught my attention when they started bring up Legends canon like Corusca gems, transparisteel, and The Wheel space station.  Suddenly the show got a LOT better for me.  It artfully tied itself into elements of TLJ (though, in my opinion, was MUCH more interesting).  What's more, it came off as a legacy campaign, detailing the origins of a family then jumping to their granddaughter tied together with a Macguffin and a revived Battle Droid (hence it's connection to Solo as well as the ST).

Anyway, I'd encourage you all to watch it as it's one of the few, current Star Wars media out there that's actually good.

I'm sure you know, but I can't help mentioning that "transparisteel" was also quite inportant in the film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home from 1986. I do like to point out when Star Wars and Star Treek has something in common.

Cool.  I didn't know that.  It's likely where the Star Wars writers got it from as SW books didn't start coming out until well after '86.  I'm not a Trekkie at all.  I like the idea of Capt. Janeway (and the actress as she voices Flemeth from Dragon Age), and am a BIG fan of the character Khan (though not the rebooted version; you can't do better than Ricardo Montalban).
