Like give a paragraph of why this is a good build in their minds? It does make it interesting to see people struggle give a reason when all the see is a picture. Though I do admit The Fairwind is a design I would not have come up with in awhile and its originality is by far the best in this contest. Oh well best luck in the next contest, I got two builds ready to go and are putting on the final touches.
No nothing like an essay vote. Just asking people to actually take the time to read and evaluate every build and really vote for the best in their mind.
As an alternative, might I suggest we do the builds, and after the contest is closed, we can post the images that inspired us? That way we can still share but we possibly get less of a popularity contest?
I always like suggestions, but the rules of UDB aren't up for debate. Long term member should know just how fiercely I defend UDB. I agree sometimes the voting is flawed, but I rarely have to use my tiebreaker power.
I will however revise and expand the voting rules in light of this growing issue.
The reason I went with The Fairwind build vs the X-70b is I felt because of my extensive playing and knowledge of SWTOR, I would be instantly bias to the ship of my favorite Imperial class. Since I didnt have strong feelings any other build and not wanting my bias to unfairly affect my judgement, The Fairwind won.
