Ultimate Dream Build #13: Non-Combat

Hello, and welcome to Ultimate Dream Builds!
This is a contest where the sky is the limit on what you think you can create. Let your dreams about how it would be like in the Star Wars Universe guide you as you create unique and amazing character builds. Now to the rules:

1) House rules can only be used if you carefully explain your rules as part of your build.
2) Builds are limited to a max of Heroic Level 20. For Classes, Feats, Powers, and Talents, please use official Saga Edition sourcebooks as much as you can. If you have a house rule, you have to explain it in detail so we can understand the mechanics of it.
3) Unlimited Point Buy is allowed.
4) You are limited to 3 builds per contest. This keeps it a fair game.
5) Please stay on topic of the thread. If something needs to be discussed more in detail, please start another thread and move your thoughts there. This keeps the contest thread clean and simple.
6) You will have 30 days starting from the 1st posting of the current contest. After the 30 days, 14 more days for voting will be available. Winners will be decided by a simple majority of the cast votes. Only one vote per member is allowed You may not vote for yourself and no redos. All VOTES ARE FINAL!
7) The most important rule: HAVE FUN!!! Think outside of the box, and let those awesome dreams we all have take shape!

This month, by popular demand, is about Non-Combat Builds.

These builds could be the non-heroic everyday workers of the Star Wars galaxy, or they could be builds that are meant to buff other players, skill use-focused, or any other build that is not focused on killing as fast as possible.

There isn't any Extra Rules this month, so no restrictions.

Submissions are Open until November 8th at 11:59pm Pacific Time. Good Luck, and May the Force be with You!

He's a techno geek with a gambling addiction. He's not as good at gambling as thinks he is (being a Givin and all) but he's still better than your average person. He loves working on spaceships and dreams of building his own someday. He just needs the money. While he's not above 'rules lawyering' and abusing technicalities, he is adamant against cheating. He's a generally helpful guy when not on a losing streak, but is a nightmare to deal with after losing big.

He was originally a planned character I was going to play but that session never ended up happening. I sort of have him waiting in the wings for the moment.

This guy seems combat usable. Upgraded pistol, Careful Shot and Weapon Focus as feat. It run straight down the middle, what saves it is Tech Specialist and Starship Designer, and you going into SF Use Computer and Mechanics. You walked the line well. Well played.

+8 BAB at lv14 - a pure Noble has higher than that!  So what is a character with only 80 hp and 8 BAB doing in combat zones?  Whatever is necessary.

Sen De Maal does not like the violence of the war constantly raging around him, but he does what he can to protect the lives of those he works with. 

He is one of the best combat medics in the Rebellion, able to patch up almost anything even under pressure.  A +23 Treat Injury skill, with Exception Skill and Steady Under Pressure means he will roll at least a 31 99.75% of the time.  With an Extra First Aid to go around to his patients, as well as being Improved (+2hp per point over DC15), he can patch up a lot of damage very quickly.

Being able to patch up the wounded is no good if you can't get to them, and that is where Sen De Maal's natural talents kick in.  He is also an ace pilot, able to fly circles around most others.  Like his Treat Injury, any piloting check he attempts will yield 30 or more 99.75% of the time.  With Vehicle Sneak and Small Target, most Imperials will not even know he is about.  If they do notice him, he has many defensive abilities to get him through even the most tight blockade.  A Few Maneuvers and Dodge increase his ship's defenses, as can Fools Luck.  Attack Pattern Zeta Nine gives him an extra 20 shields, and Vehicular Combat, Ackbar Slash, and Snap Roll help him avoid attacks.  Afterburn will help him either get out of there or blow through a screen, and if anyone does manage to engage him in a dogfight, Target Lock and Evasive Actions will get him right back out (an almost guaranteed 55+ on his pilot check).  If someone does get crit-lucky, he has Deep-Space Gambit to bail him out.

Dodge and Deep-Space Gambit can also work well on the ground, along with his decent defenses to make him less vulnerable there.  He also carries a hold-out blaster to help him blend in to his surroundings, as a larger weapon would make him appear as a threat, and no weapon would make people wonder why he was there, paying more attention to him than he would like.

Thanks, I'm glad he makes the cut. As I said he was originally a character I was going to play, so he had to have some form of combat ability. The tech use on the weapon was just an obvious use. I can't think of any reason why he wouldn't use it. Though I was planning on making him a bit of a tinkerer. I didn't really modify him at all from what I had laid out.

Hijack goes by many aliases including Sabot, Njardvik of Trinidad, Timebomb and Trickstep. Each has separate backgrounds, educational certifications, and droid chassis the resourceful Shard Species has utilized for various aspects of his businesses. However, when he is in the field and needs to be easily forgettable and highly mobile, the prefers he H7 Loading droid chassis. 

Under the alias Sabot he deals in gladiator bets. He selects or grooms a combatant to amass small fortunes at different gladiator pits across the galaxy without over staying his welcome in any one place for long. When he is able to groom a gladiator, he awakens the Force in them, and creates a telepathic link where he can double and sometimes triple a combatant’s effectiveness’.

Standard= Trust, exchanging his standard action to give an additional Standard actin to an ally on Hijack's initiative count
2 swift= Impel Ally II,gives a standard or a move action to an ally on Hijack's imitative count.
Passive Active= Master's Orders, ally can reroll attack or skill check with standard action gained from Impel Ally II
Passive Active= Telepathic Link with Force sensitive character (that he can endow with) to advise and once per encounter add a Force power to their Active Force Suite
Reactionary= Use the Force to activate Enlighten, supplementing a poor die roll for a potentially superior one (Knack, 1 per Encounter reroll a skill Check)
1st Standard action=Born Leader, swift, 1 per Encounter add +1 to ally attacks and lasts till end of the encounter LOS



Under the alias Timebomb, he dabbles in political engineering. Working as a double agent within an organization he seeks to discredit by implicating them in nefarious affairs only to conveniently catalog evidence. Such evidence can be for a rival faction or for blackmail.


The alias Njardvik of Trinidad is one of many personas whose destiny it has been to amass wealth from his other ventures, sign for notable donations as a wealthy philanthropist, attract attention via charitable donations and serendipitously make headlines as a rising profile for brokers to peddle stock in.   As the show grows, an out has already been planned. As the attention to this mysterious playboy appears, it will disappear just as quickly. When the time is right, Njarvik of Trinidad (like so many other identities before it) will outlive its usefulness and eventually be discarded as a means of distraction to matters he seeks to move in secret.  He will use the attention to implicate adversaries or create a paper trail away from financial movements in his other arenas.


The alias Tricksep is a series of remotes and drones that are used on locations deploying sensors, listening devices, recording data to program hologram disguisers, and maintaining situational awareness when a location is being investigated for a job. Typically he is also introducing minor mechanical or technological compromises so that the presences of his other resources are to be legitimized in the near future. Trickstep represents a wealth of resources that are disposable and expendable, yet properly deployed represent superior control and awareness of an area or around a person.


Hijack rarely reveals his true self, a Teacher of the Force and ageless Sage, to anyone other than entities he personally admires or has a need to incorporate in special operations. Those he does open up to, he enjoys spending time exposing them to the Awaken Force regimen. Thus opens a door to being able to telepathically link with that individual and guiding them through complex situations with unparalleled efficiency.

Very cool to see so many applications already!

I will be submitting three characters- three variations of a theme. The theme is fairly abhorrent, and while common to see in Star Wars, I don't think I've ever seen any attempts to illustrate the concept in SWS... probably for good taste.

That theme is... slave girls.

Ardana       CL 1



Ardana is an example of a typical Twi'lek slave girl. Even when the practice was outlawed, many Twi'leks were captured and sold into slavery, often for the vile entertainment of gangsters and corrupt nobles. Physically and mentally abused, Ardana has little hope of escape. Instead she hopes she can please her master long enough to stay away from a grisly end, which far too many Twi'lek slaves suffer from.

A feisty slave, Vatari has managed to survive a number of masters. Her beauty and skills make her a favorite slave, but she doesn't have the smarts to not start trouble. Fortunately, she is also able to scamper away and hide whenever trouble erupts. She is often sold off before she ends up the death of her master, although some of her masters have not been as lucky in getting rid of her before their death. Despite her knack for trouble-making, she is too useful to let be free. However, Vatari still manages to keep her spirits up in spite her horrible reality.

The dream is Dia, the object of desire. Unique in the galaxy as far as anyone can tell, men have killed each other to possess Dia and entire planets have been devastated by their desire to have her. Dia is the ultimate status symbol, her mere presence inspiring intense fervor, and drawing incredible wrath if anyone hurts her. And yet she is filled with sadness. Despite being desired by all and the center of many galactic plots, Dia knows her value is not because of who she, but what she is. This objectification haunts her thoughts, hidden behind Dia's beauty.
