Quiet the Mind in particular can grant him the Visions talent without needing Force Perception. The Visions talent is a must have for Anakin in my book. And since I've never seen the Strong in the Force feat as really all that worthwhile (or indeed really showing any extra strength in the Force), I gave him Force Boon instead. Anakin just seems like the kind of guy who would be spending Force Points more often to boost his all-around prowess (enhancing attack rolls, boosting Force powers, etc.). This version represents Anakin having just gained the title of Darth Vader and picking up his first Sith Apprentice level, hence the full Force Point total.

    Obi-Wan Kenobi was 38 years old as of Episode III, which is just inside the Adult age boundary for Humans.

    In regards to skills:
    It has been noted that, despite his dislike of flying, Obi-Wan was an accomplished pilot (so should at least be trained in the skill). Gather Information and Persuasion just seem necessary given his abilities in both investigation and negotiation - thus part of the reason for the Noble levels I've given (which I think fit him very nicely).


    In regards to abilities and feats:
    The talents and feats selected reflect both his phenomenal defensive abilities (Melee Defence, Wary Defender, Guardian Strike for defending others, etc.), lightsabre proficiency and his traits as a general and leader of the GAR (hence the other reason for the Noble levels as it allows progression into the Officer prestige class).


    In regards to Force abilities:
    Force powers are in line with what has been seen in the films and I have included two lightsabre form powers - Circle of Shelter as an acknowledged master of Soresu should have, Hawk-bat Swoop feels to me like what he used to defeat Darth Maul (and also ties in to his original focus on Ataru before Qui-Gon's death influenced his switch of form). The Force Regimens are to give him a few extra abilties - Vo'ren's First Cadence gives him the ability to use Severing Strike without having the talent (and is noted as complete as he can't actually fail it without rolling a natural 1), Awaken Force Sensitivity as he has done this with others on a few occasions (e.g. Cestus Deception), Sparring Practice and Training Remote to further enhance his lightsabre defensive traits.


    Completed Destinies:

        Discovery (Formation of the Separatist Alliance) - +1 bonus all defences
        Education (Training of Anakin Skywalker) - +5 bonus to Use the Force checks
        Destruction (Darth Vader) - awaiting completion

      destruction of the shield generator on Endor, the actual destruction doesn't feel as climactic in the film
      as the moment Han comes out of nowhere and blasts the TIEs.
    - I thought about giving Han a destiny in the NJO or LotF, but neither series felt like it possessed
      one for him. I'm going to assume he has a third destiny, but has yet to complete it as of Abyss, and
      therefore is not listed.
    - For his DL-44, I decided to give it the Improved Damage tech specialty, since the LECG lists it as having
      such. I'm assuming Han will die working towards his destiny, giving it the legacy weapon template and
      giving it the Improved Accuracy tech specialty. I didn't stat that Han, though, because I'm not sure how
      one would stat a corpse.[/quote

If he does critical, he can spend a Force Point to add +2d6 to his Battlestrike damage. That means he will be doing a devastating (2d8+20+5d6)x3, which is an average of about 138 damage per round! If you add Power Attack, you can possibly reach 170 damage or more. Master of the lightsaber indeed…

    Other explanations of the build:

    I gave Mace his signature Vaapad lightsaber form, but I added the Tempered Aggression lightsaber form power since the description fits his fighting style.

    Mace can clear up massive amounts of battle droids in one round with a Triple Attack and Cleave for a 4 attacks in one round. A Powered Whirlwind Attack (granted by Vo’ren’s Second Cadence) can take out all adjacent foes. Triple Crit triples the damage on a critical hit, which he threatens with a natural 19 also. When under fire, Block, Deflect, and Redirect Shot are effective. He can use a Force Point to Block or Deflect for an adjacent ally also. The Sparring Practice lightsaber training regimen grants 2 temporary Force Points to activate the Block talent, which don’t count toward the “one Force Point per round” limit. The Training Remote regimen grants the identical benefit but for Deflect instead of Block. Voren’s Third Cadence regimen allows the use of Force Points to Block and Deflect even when it’s not your turn. These regimens can be used once a day, so Mace can anticipate which regimen will grant the most useful benefits for that day.

    The Force secrets Devastating Power, Enlarged Power, Multitarget Power combined with Destiny Points explain Mace’s remarkable feats pushing dozens of battle droids in Clone Wars animated volumes. He used up his DP’s in that series; that’s why he has none left.

    Mace also has the Shatterpoint force power and Improved Shatterpoint, which allowed him to see the weak points in his opponents. However, he also saw the Shatterpoint in circumstances and the Force, which is why I assigned him the Force Perception talent, the Farseeing force power, and the Quiet the Mind force regimen, which grants the benefit of the Visions talent.

    When Mace crushed General Grievous with the force, he used Force Grip with Debilitating Power and a Destiny Point, moving Grievous -3 steps along the condition track. This simulates how Mace devastated Grievous’ armor and organs (the lungs in particular), causing the coughing fits the cyborg would have for the rest of his life.

    Due to his negotiation skills and command ability, I gave him a level of Noble with training in Persuasion, as well as the Born Leader Talent.

    Mace’s current destiny is “Champion.” He leads the Jedi Order through the Clone Wars. Mace will die in the pursuit of his destiny.

    Feats. Feats were a little hard. Some were obvious. SF UTF, Strong In The Force, Weapon Focus (lightsabers) all easily added. Now to me the Ataru talent doesn’t really do the style justice. That’s where Weapon Finesse, Running Attack and Acrobatic Strike come in. Those feats combine to really give Yoda mastery of the Ataru form. Unleashed came in at the very very end as I moved feats around I put it as his level 18 feat and overall I think he deserves it as it can cover a lot of his abilities in the cartoons.

    Talents were another thing that was pretty easy to pick. In fact I had so many in mind, it was hard to narrow them down. Deflect, Block, Redirect Shot all musts for the master of the lightsaber. Adept Negotiator and Force Persuasion cover his diplomatic abilities but so does Skilled Advisor. Skilled Advisor also can cover his instructing abilities since it grants a good +5 or a whopping +10 bonus. I can just imagine him using that to give a padawan a bonus to a UTF check or a diplomat on a Persuasion check. Now Force Perception and Visions I thought were good since he was adept at seeing all, past, present and future. And again, Ataru and Lightsaber Throw were must-haves.

    The Force Powers were a bunch of picking and choosing with a concentration on Farseeing and Move Object. Force Techniques show his mastery of Move Object with Force Power Mastery and Extended MO. And finally the Force Secrets. The only one I was sure about was Mentor, the others I kind of chose what I thought fit the Grand Master.

    My inspirations for this build were the Clone Wars series (the newer one), the Wookieepedia article, and the movies, again trying to build as comprehensive a Yoda as possible.

    In regards to skills:
    The skills chosen reflect the key abilities she demonstrated in Allegiance, though she has not yet advanced far enough in her career to have focused in any particular area. That said, her abilities are considerable and diverse inspite of that.

    In regards to abilities and feats:
    The feats chosen reflect her weapons training, while Weapon Finesse reflects her precision with a lightsabre. As she managed to knock one of the Commodore's men unconcious whilst unarmed and laced her sabre/pistol strikes with her fists, it seems fitting to give her Martial Arts I. Disruptive reflects her ability to irritate and distract her opponents - something Mara is especially good at.

    In regards to Force abilities:
    Force abilities are fairly standard, Deflect and Redirect Shot are needed as she often dispatched her opponents with their own blaster bolts. She doesn't have Skill Focus (Use the Force) as she said in Dark Tide I that most of her early training did not involve the Force at all. I did consider the Telepathic LinkKotOR and LinkJATM talents to reflect Mara being able to hear the Emperor's voice throughout the galaxy, but I ultimately decided against it as those talents have very limited ranges and would only have an effect at close range - something Mara is unlikely to be within given the nature of her missions.

    In regards to Force Powers:
    *Circle of Shelter was used to help defend herself and Tannis from the Bloodscar's
    *Move Object was used on various occasions, but the obvious one was when she used it to move her lightsabre across the rooftops of Gepparin so that the pirates wouldn't find it and that she'd still have a weapon.
    *Surge was used in various places, though she mostly used it for Force-enhanced jumps.

    *Imperial Military Training – which he got, but the ability to remove a fear affect is too tempting…

    *Indomitable Personality – again, a chance to add to Will Def, like he would need against Joruus C'baoth

    *Recall – the chance to reroll a Knowledge (tactics) was too good to pass up! (And Thrawn knows a ton of other stuff that a reroll might help)

    *Vehicular Combat – seems like it was missing from the original stat block…

     

    TALENTS:

    *Anticipate Movement – allows allies to move, indispensible to a military leader

    *Spring the Trap – gains a surprise round if reroll if roll higher Initiative

    His level of Scout also grants him proficiency with Rifles.  The Senator whose seat he took was assassinated by a never-identified gunman on a passing airspeeder.  Proficiency in Rifles makes it at least plausible that Palpatine might have been the one to pull the trigger.

    As he becomes powerful enough to be granted the role of Sith Apprentice, he takes Force Perception and Visions.  With these, he will use Farseeing throughout his life to help him foresee events and guide things towards his ultimate goal.

    FEATS:
    Most of his feats are self-explanatory.  He uses Pall of the Dark Side to help hide his Force Sensitivity from the Jedi.  He takes Combat Trickery to tilt the odds in his favor in lightsaber combat. (Combat Trickery allows the use of Deception to make an opponent flat-footed with only 2 swift actions).

    SKILLS:
    Many of his trained skills are also self-explanatory.  As a politician, he is trained in Knowledge (Bureaucracy).  He is trained in Knowledge (Life Sciences),  representing his interest in finding a way to live forever (including any biological means to do so).  He focuses on Deception (needed to convince everyone of his 'decency' and 'sincerity'), Persuasion (needed to get other leaders to do his will), and of course Use the Force.  Stealth was already explained above.

    While fighting Yoda, he used the same techniques as he did when fighting the other Jedi, but he also used Telekinetic Power to rapidly throw several Senate pods at Yoda.

    He used Improved Dark Transfer to keep Anakin/Vader alive after his fateful duel with Obi-wan Kenobi.

    He used Perfect Telepathy and Telepathic Link to communicate with (and empower) his Emperor's Hands.

    I noticed none of the previous builds gave Darth Maul any levels in the Sith Lord prestige class. I could go into the rational for all of the the Talents and Feats I gave Maul, but that would take too long. I did particularly like Staggering Attack for Darth Maul as it helps explain his ability to outmaneuvering the Jedi in Phantom Menace. Kicking them around and such.
