And Flowscape has a lot of potential for environments, especially if you import 3d models in the scene. It also has options to add a grid in ortho view - https://pixelforest.itch.io/flowscape

Here are a few tries with both apps for the "Tempest Feud" campaign.

Very cool.  I have to admit I've always been amazed by the talent of others for making maps.  I usually just find a map online and go from there.  I might have to try this out for my gaming, be it Star Wars or others.
