I smile a toothy smile at my discovery.  We will make far better use of this material than the pirates.  Slinging my rifle over my body, I scoop the smaller medical supplies and the stealth generators into a convenient sack, then grab the handle of the medical kit.  I run back to the ramp of the Star and deposit my discoveries on the platform.  Time to get of this ship.  Pulling my toolkit into my hands again, I approach the main door of the hanger to sabotage it.  Crossing wires to seal the heavy blast doors, I signal the rest of the group as I run for the Star"Let's go!"

The terminal chimes as the targeting sensors of the tractor beam have its programming altered. Rather than locking on to the Talia's Star, the tractor beam will now lock on to the asteroid just after the Star passes it thus helping the Star hide from the cruiser. As you board the Star Sarn calls out, "I can get us in to hyperspace once we clear the asteroid." Sarn has recovered from his injury although he still looks and sounds little weak.

The Corvette tries to pursue the Talia's Star but is forced to change directions when the crew realizes that the asteroid is moving towards them at high speed. The last thing the sensors detect before entering hyperspace is the corvette narrowly avoiding the asteroid and a Star Destroyer coming out of hyperspace nearly on top of the corvette.

Sarn leaves the c0ckpit and speaks with the team, "Looks like we got out of there just in time. We should reach Coruscant in about 12 hours. Dropping out of hyperspace like that did a little damage to the hyperdrive. We will have to pass through customs. That shouldn't be a problem as long as your weaponry is hidden when we drop out of hyperspace. It is usually really simple. A broad spectrum scan is used to identify the cargo and locate the crew of the ship. Once we get clearance we will make our way to the landing fields closest to the residential district and the military district. I can stay here on Coruscant for two weeks getting repairs done on the hyperdrive before I have to leave again to maintain my cover. I recommend you complete your mission prior to that time." He hands each of you a datacard, "These cards will sync to my ship and will give you an encrypted com frequency you can use to contact me when you are ready to leave. Once we land and unload the cargo, I will give you 'authorization' as my crew to go enjoy yourselves while on leave. At that point you can reacquire your equipment and head out."

I am glad when we enter the safety of hyperspace.  Now we are on track for the mission we prepared for.

Some of the injuries and inaction of some of our hunters necessitates a redesign of the execution of this mission.  I rapidly tap the keys of my datapad.  Those too injured and those who froze with inaction are to be left with the Star and the remainder of the team formed into a single unit that will extract Danni Valton first, then attempt to disrupt the Imperial communication network with the computer spike if possible.  I send out another message for the group to gather in the cargo bay again.  Once the group has read over the changes to the mission, I lay my hands on the table. "Questions or concerns?"

Khal takes the time in hyperspace to go through the combat in his head, and how the team reacted and worked together. He liked what he saw, but knew he needed to be better. For hours, people could hear him in the cargo hold going through he fighting style step, making them tighter, more fluid. He found a blaster drone, and used it to focus his anti-blaster blade work.

Finally satifiled, he went to meditate before he got the call to meet.

"This should be fun, to be honest" Khal said lightheartedly "This style of Op is more my speed. I spent most of my life in the shadow, hiding. I might be a Mon Cal on a very Human world when we hit Courscant, but I'm ready to do my part. The poor kriffers that try to stop us, I'm ready for them as well" Khal said more seriously. Everyone gets the sense he means exactly what he just finished as well. Khal has always had an inflated sense of worth, only really taking a hit to it after he was expelled from the Order. The work he did for the Alliance gave him purpose again, and he was more then willing to show just how much he enjoyed that.

Sotorre let out a sigh of relief as he boarded. He then laughed, "Well, I had hoped my first time in battle would be against some bucket-heads, but I suppose shutting down pirate operations isn't a bad way to start things off... Captain, you doing alright? Try to take it easy as best you can..." He then turned to Wunbee: {(Fosh) Everything look okay on him? No wounds reopening?}

Once things had settled down, the Fosh listened as the updates to their mission were explained. He nodded a little, "Quick in, quick out... And I was against us splitting up in the first place, so I'm not going to complain about this chain of events... We'll work more effectively as a single unit."

Sarn hands Rakos a credit chip. "Compliments of our employers. 500,000 credits at your disposal for your mission. I have been to this part of Coruscant many times so if you have any questions ask away. I can also have 42-6K pull the maps we developed on our last trip in if you want. I'll remind you at 3 hours before arrival to store your gear."

I nod and accept the credit chip.  I gesture for Sarn to sit.  "Tell us about the districts."

Sarn sits gingerly and presses a button to activate the holoprojector in the ceiling. A small two dimensional map of the Imperial City appears.

"Sorry for the low resolution. It was as best we could do without risking discovery. There are a few locations that will be of most interest to you." A section of the map lights up in yellow. "This is The Works or the Factory District. There are a few resistance cells that operate out here. They primarily work out of some of the abandoned factories. They are extremely mobile so finding them might be difficult although that might suit your mission." A section of the yellow lights up in red. "This is the so called 'Alien Protection Zone'. Locals call it Invisec. Almost 97% of the non human population lives in this district. Stormtroopers regularly patrol the area and I have seen reports of a few "pacification operations" that have been done there. If you are looking for a place to hide it could be a good location although it is a good distance from where your target lives. You would have to make it through checkpoints and inspection points to get in and out."

A small box in the center lights up next. "This is the Imperial Palace. I think the consequences of that area should be pretty obvious." A red section just above the Palace glows. "This is the old Jedi Temple District. Another place that should be avoided at all costs if possible."

Two sections are illuminated next, one green to the west of the Palace and one tan to the south west. "This green section is the military district. Your target works in this area. The tan one is the residential district where she lives. We will land just to the south west of those two districts. Any questions that I didn't answer?

I shake my head, and my bound mane drifts back and forth with the motion.  The information is sufficient.  Now all we can do is wait for planetfall . . .

Cailid drags himself out of the refresher, looking far better than he did during the escape from the bay. His wounds are cleaned and his clothes are washed of blood. Walking over to the hidden containers that kept their weapons, Cailid draws out his ICWS rifle. "Hello baby, I missed you.." he coos, giving the weapon a thorough cleaning to help settle his nerves.

Joining the others at the conference, he takes a seat, cradling his weapon. Cailid doesn't doubt he will have to leave the weapon behind when they get to the planet. His eyes reflect the holoprojector of the city. "The Imperial City... never thought a cute little fluff like me would get there." He shakes his head at the thought. Sighing, he scratches behind an ear, nodding to the others as they wait out the last of the travel time.

"Personally, I think we should avoid any resistance groups... I wish them well, but... Trying to make contact with them seems like we might as well walk around with an advertising droid that goes around shouting 'We're part of the Alliance!' in a thousand different languages," Sotorre offered his two credits, all while checking over his weapons to make sure they were in good working order, cleaning and maintaining them.

"How you handle the resistance cells is up to you." Sarn says. Cailid's weapon system draws his eyes. "Do your weapons break down? You can hide them here but you will probably want them out and about. My droid and I can made the modifications necessary if you need them."
Spoiler: ooc (hover to show)
The hours pass by relatively quickly as you recover from your battle and continue to discuss any plans for the operation planetside. Sarn completes the upgrades needed by the team and returns your weapons to you. At the six hour mark, he asks you to put your weapons in the special hidden compartments. It is the final hour before you emerge from hyperspace and approximately two hours from arriving planet side.

Spoiler: music (hover to show)
The tension builds as the minutes tick by. Five, then fifteen. Then fifteen minutes before you were to emerge from hyperspace a familiar jerking feeling hits the ship. For those in the c0ckpit, the comforting blue of hyperspace is ripped away to black, the stars shifting from lines to static dots.
As you enter the c0ckpit, you see an unwelcome sight: Two Interdictor Cruisers, One Imperial Star Destroyer-II, and four Imperial Customs corvette. Swarms of TIE-Fighters circle about the edges of your view.  Three of the four Customs corvettes are docked with other ships and the remaining corvette moves to intercept you.
An incoming message tone indicates that the corvette is hailing. "Shuttle, This is Custom's Agent Darex Kappa. You will power down your shields and submit to inspection."

Sarn hits a switch, "Agent Kappa, I have special clearance for this transport. I can send my manifest to you and submit to scans. I normally go through customs at hyperspace point Delta-6 as per my clearance. Why this interruption and will this delay my delivery?" He is obviously agitated by this unexpected change in plans and sends his manifest via the same channel, hoping to quickly move past the blockade.

"There is a public alert warning that Rebel terrorists may be trying to operate on Coruscant. The terror level has been moved to Scarlet. I have received your manifest everything appears in order however my orders are to conduct a personal search of each vessel. Once you are cleared you will have full permission to land without any further checks. Will you submit?"

Sarn grumbles, "Get ready boys. Just act like my crew and we will all be just fine. Those compartments are well hidden, you have nothing to worry about unless someone gives us away." He activates the com one last time. "Shutting down engines and shields, We await your visit. Please do hurry."

With nothing further to discuss, I dismiss the group.  "Let's get ready."  I place my more controversial weapons (garrote, wrist launcher, and flamethrower) into the hidden compartments, and the others in my bunk.

I snarl at the sight of the Imperial blockade.  I hate delays.  I stand in the cargo bay to maintain a cover as a cargo tender.

Khal takes Sarn up on his offer. "We'll have to work together, but I believe it time I made my saber a bit harder to notice. "

For the next few hours before they hit orbit, Sarn and his droid help him with the components. When they are set, Khal starts the long process of recrafting his lightsaber. Any of the crew in the area see Khal in deep meditation as the various parts flow around him. The lightsaber comes together part by part until he completes the whole saber. He then checks the blade emiter, power adjustment nob, and finally how the pieces come part. In the end, the lightsaber is a bit more basic then it was, but is more akin to larger length laser welder . Breaking into two pieces, he could easily hide it from most officials.

Sarn seems pleased in his part, but Khal just remembers something he ordered a while back for the mission "Hey Captain, did the SpecOps quartermaster before we left the fleet give you a package for me?"

[inset response here]

When the ship gets taken out of hyperspace, Khal get the feeling of dread again. When he sees the Imperial taskforce, he is surprised, but not worried. He goes and places his lightsaber (in two parts), and the newly acquired supplies into the containers as requested.

He has his pistol on his his hip holster, to keep up he is more of a Security guy on the ship. When he gets a look from Sarn, he says "I'm your bodyguard or Security chief if asked. I can play that role all day long."

Cailid nods to Sarn, handing over the weapon. "I'm more of a slicer than an engineer, so I never got too much into the tech side of weapons. But I would like to have this in hand. That sounds like a good idea, thank you." He skits over to the side, watching the captain and the droid tinker with the modifications with interest.

His eyes widen when Khal assists with modifying his lightsaber. The parts dance in his eyes as he watches the splendor of the Jedi and his connection to his tool. "That's... neat," he squeeks, not able to find the words to match what he witnessed. He gifts Khal with a grin before he starts pocketing the broken down compartments of his ICWS.

In the end, he takes a seat in the c0ckpit behind Sarn, leaning back to watch the hyperspace blow past them. Cailid's ears flatten at the sight of the Imperial cruisers, memories of the ISB rising unbidden. Nibbling at the inside of his cheek, Cailid blows out the tension, nodding to himself as Sarn handles the call to the Customs. He trusts the pilot knows what he's doing.
