Arkk heard Korif's warning about possible explosive trap aboard the starfighter. While it not the first time he heard of this type of trap, this trap seems more then a few explosives.

"Korif, you might be right about explosives, but I can't shake the feeling its a stronger trap then that. Flying it out would be the right thing to do but we dont know what part of the ship trapped or even if the whole starfighter is just one bomb.

With that said, Arkk opens himself to the Force, searching for any clues the Force might have. (Search Feelings Use the Force check. 1d20+17=32 )

Lian stuffs her datapad back into her field kit, "Get to work on it then, I want it done as soon as possible."

While Six is operating on the speeder, Lian will look around the immediate vicinity for its owner (e.g. if the speeder is parked outside a house). If she can't find anyone, then the Jedi Knight will head to the nearest cantina for information.

Arkk gets the same small vision as Korif, and then he remembers another piece of information about Chaos fighters:  the old models were often loaded with volatile fuel and munitions, then employed as destructive ramming attacks against enemy starships.  He finds it very likely that this theme has been maintained with the newer models, especially in light of the vision.

Knocking on the house in front of which the speeder is parked, Lian finds herself speaking to a human woman holding a small child.  "Yes?"

Lian gestures to the speeder outside, "Is this your vehicle?"

While talking, she looks at the woman carefully, attempting to draw some clues from her appearance (and that of the house) to guess her current caste level.

Why yes sir, I am Jedi Knight Boreas. She reaches into her utility belt and takes out 20 credits handing them over. Is it okay for us to pay the overage on docking when we get back should our stay take longer than expected?

Arkk comes out of his Force vision quickly. He talks to Korif immediately.

"Your insights severed you well, one thing you missed though. Chaos-class fighter were used in and modified for suicide attacks. They would carry extra fuel and munitions to add an extra punch when they exploded. Any crazy Sith would employ this tactic. What we need is to figure out how to power up the fighter and move it without it leveling half this community with it."

Arkk feels uncertain. While the Force granted him great clarity about the danger of the fighter, he's not very mechanically-inclined nor a pilot.

"Are you a decent pilot Korif?"

As Lian asks her question, two small voices are heard.  "Who is it, Mama?"  A little boy and a little girl come running up and peer from around their mother's skirts at the stranger.  The woman hushes the children, "Mother is talking now."  She turns back to Lian.  "Yes, the speeder is mine.  Is there something I can help you with?"

The credits Leda gives the Kerkoiden quickly disappear into a cash register.  "We track docking days upon first landing and with each sunrise.  Simply stop by before you leave and we can settle any overage."

I'll make sure to do so should our stay be longer. Thank you. Leda quietly exits and heads for the "parts shop". Walking into the shop she approaches the shop owner. I am looking for some parts to repair a ship. (She rattles off the names of the needed parts.) Do you happen to have them available?

Lian bows deeply towards the woman, before rising to continue. In her experience, some fancy terms with the promise of credits, as well as a bit of misdirection, worked well with these human-types.

"I would like to commission it for a short while, my Lords have need of it and will send it back here immediately. In return, I am prepared to offer you one thousand Republic Dataries for the rental itself, as well as a small collateral of two thousand Republic Dataries of which you will keep one thousand five hundred of on our safe return."

The big Togorian is still working on the swoop when Leda arrives and stops to take a look at her list.  "Hmmm, well, the alluvial damper and the horizontal boosters we have, but I'll need to make the reactant agitator injectors from scratch.  That'll be fairly easy, though.  It just takes a few hours to make the parts.  Total cost will be about 2000 credits.  It'll be 1000 more if you want the labor."

The woman seems sincerely shocked by Lian's proposal, then silently begins weeping.  She kneels to hug her children, then wiping the tears from her eyes, she turns back to Lian.  "I don't know who you are, or how you learned about my troubles, but thank you!  Thank you so much!  Yes, of course, the speeder is yours for as long as you need.  It doesn't drive very well because I can't afford the maintenance, but hopefully that won't be a problem."

"I can fly, but I am no master at it," answered Korif. He had not spent much time behind the controls of many ships, although he knew the basics. "If need makes it so, I could fly the ship in a pinch, but there might be another in our group that would be better for the job."

Korif looked at the Sith vessel, "So these were essentially built as one-way-trip fighters, huh? You are right about moving this thing. I do not want the target to have an advantage over us. If he is able to arm this ship remotely, he could hold us hostage to it by threatening to blow it up and harming these people."

Through the Force, Korif Tau had focused his training on moving objects - even ships this size - but he still feared that there could be a booby trap rigged. If he lifted it or entered it, would it detonate? He looked back at Arkk, "So you really want one of us to get inside this thing and fly it away?"

Perhaps he was making too much of it.

That's okay I can do the repairs myself I just need the parts. Would you give me a few minutes. Leda walks outside the shop and 10 paces away before taking out her comlink and calls Lian. Celi this is Boreas. It's going to take 2000 credits to get the parts we need for the ship. I only have 305 credits on me. Can the rest of you make up the difference?

Lian smiles at the woman. The Force had an interesting way of making sure one arrived at the right place and time to help someone in need, something the Umbaran noticed several times during her adventures.

"No, it won't be a problem. I have a mechanic working on it as we speak, free of charge. I'll be back later to pick it up when I've concluded my business in town. By the way, could I get your name?"

After exchanging pleasantries with the woman and giving her the money (in the form of thirty 100 credit coins), Lian turns to leave, answering the call of on her comlink. She frowns, of course someone would need credits right after she gave most of hers away. The Force certainly did have an interesting way of going about things...

"I can make some of that difference, but have you tried haggling down the price? Remember, this is Outer Rim territory, and based off the no-frills landing field, it doesn't see much trade. Credits won't hold much sway here, but trade goods on the other hand, even basic things, are likely in high demand. And do use the droid, it's programmed for these sort of things, I sent it with you for this very reason."

Lian tries to find her way to Leda's location, using the Force to guide her.

Lian continues talking as she walks through town, If you want, I can talk to the owner for you. I'm good at handling these sort of things. I want to know the whole situation though.
