Duaheen listens attentively as Yuri describes her sword training.  "Interesting.  Swordplay is not a common practice on most civilized worlds.  And it is important to keep traditions alive."

He eyes her curiously when she mentions the Irulan Corrino incident.  "I'm not overly attached to this junk heap.  Just a stop on my way elsewhere, wherever that may be.  Why would you hire me?  You just met me.  I could be a serial killer."  A moment later, he grins non-threateningly.

She stops to ponder what he said. Swordmanship is a more elegant and civilized way of fighting requiring more practice and poise, than just being able to squeeze a trigger like any other person. Would a serial killer have warned me of that possibility? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of being a serial killer? I'd compensate you for your services if you decide to accept. She takes a sip of her beer. If you don't mind me asking where did you learn to fight so well yourself?

Omar watched as the entire scene played out. "These two can fight" he thought "But they make too much noise." He kept on looking around, reading everyone as best he could, but his attention was drawned time and again to these two strangers. Now they were talking in a table close to him and not really keeping to themselves. The woman was clearly an off-worlder, but the cat might have some valuable information.
He decided to listen for a bit more and then, maybe, make his move if what he heard interested him.

The big cat laughs at Yuri's response to his serial killer comment.  "Touché."  He takes a sip of his own drink, which smells like Bloodsour.  "If the Irulan Corrino incident sparks enough of your interest that you think you need extra help, then there is undoubtedly there is adventure surrounding you, and I like that prospect.  I accept your offer, but I'll need to take care of some things before we leave."

Duaheen hesitates for a moment after Yuri asks about his combat skills, glancing around the bar before answering.  "The Trianii Rangers.  They took the rough skills I learned from working on a farm and fighting with my brothers and . . . focused them." He grows quiet and takes another sip of his Bloodsour while using his free hand to adjust his vest.

She nods at his accepting the offer. Before you begin I think you should know that I'm in this area on business...adventure wasn't expected. I just want to make sure I don't disappear like the senators daughter. Those three drunks aren't even close to the skill needed to accomplish such a feat. She lowers her voice. 1000 credits fair enough?

"1000 credits is fine," he says as he nods.  "So what business brought you to here?  Something to do with your swordplay, or another matter?"

She laughs lightly. Not so interesting. My father is wanting to expand our shipping operation, so I was sent out to procure more clients. To also find more local talent or better ships in order to get the job done. For the last 10 years I've been doing mainly a desk job with administration responsibilities, this is the first time in quite awhile that I've had any action requiring physical aptitude, other than practice drills. She continues to drink the beer till it's finished. How about you show me around I still don't feel like leaving planet yet. Putting down her mug she readies her helmet.

Duaheen tosses back the rest of his Bloodsour and sets the glass on the table.  "Give me a moment."  He strides across the cantina to the bar-tending droid.  "I'll be back in a while."  He gestures at the Trandoshan.  "Tell Krussurk if he wants to make some extra money, he can have my second shift."

Joining Yuri at the door, he steps out into the street, striding over the unconscious forms of the three thugs.  He points to the west.  "Merchant's Row is that way.  Plenty of client potential there."  He points north.  "There's a bar that way that caters to freelance pilots, but I can't guarantee the quality of their ships."  He swings his carbine off his shoulder, double checks that the power pack is full, and puts it back.  "Which would you prefer?"

"A merchant's daughter? This might be interesting." thought the zabrak. When the couple exited the bar he followed them at a distance, covering in shadows and acting casually.

Yuri speaks in a low voice. Although I'm not sure about the quality of help from around here, sure lets go anyways. My destination was further along than here. I just took the chance to step out of my fighter and stretch my legs some.

"If it's a just a walk that interests you, we can window shop at some of the local stores.  There aren't many interesting things to see here, just lots of scrap.  We would do well to keep our walk brief.  Wandering around will attract the attention of local gangs, or worse."

Duaheen leads Yuri in the direction of her choosing, pointing out shops or other things he believes would be interesting to her.

Duaheen and Yuri take a walk down the shadowy side-street that the Tranii knows is commonly frequented by merchants of various goods, legal or otherwise. Omar trails along behind, staying out of the weak light cast by grime coated holosigns - most advertising mechanical wares or exotic foods or services.

Groups of shady looking beings and rough spacers are gathered in loose knots - outside a shop doorway, or at the entrance to short, junk-filled alleyways. Most of them avoid looking at Yuri and Duaheen, but a pair of scantily dressed Twi'lek women nod at Omar as he passes. There's less people down in this section of the spaceport, so the street is fairly open.

The Tapani noble and her new bodyguard pass a shallow alcove between two rusty buildings, deep in a patch of shadow. A small, barely visible figure crouches there, partially hidden behind an assortment of mechanical refuse. The two can make out little of the person's features or clothing - he or she seems to be covered with a hooded cape, like those used by natives on hot planets to keep off the blistering sun.

The figure steps forward around the concealing scrap and moves cautiously up to the alley's mouth, then looks about quickly and gestures to Yuri and Duaheen to come into the crevasse. Out in the flickering blue light cast by a nearby holosign, the figure is now visible to Omar as well. Also, the three off-worlders can now see that the cloaked person is a short female, probably human. Her face, however, is still masked by her hood.

Yuri stops upon being beckoned at. She looks at her new bodyguard momentarily to be sure he sees as well before entering the alcove cautiously and slowly so as to give her eyes time to adjust. She keeps her left hand close to the pocket with her hold-out pistol just in case. The thought of what happened to Irulan keeps her on edge and wary of ambushes.
