Torkad watches the bug towering only a few meters away from him. Then he braces his rifle.
"Hey, ugly, I´ve got a nice spot for your head above door at ner yaim /my home/!" he taunts, oblivious to the fact that the beast cannot possibly understand, and presses the trigger, sending red blaster flood towards the mount and its drivers.

Squad 'B' is going to use "mounted combat" to attempt to negate the damage that the squad takes (reducing from half to none) from the area attack: 1d20(6)+17=23. The negation fails! Squad B takes damage as normal.

My understanding of once/round abilities is that if they are used you need to wait until that point in initiative comes aROUND again before they can again be used.

This is fair. We can forget that this squad attempted to negate the damage. Either way they took damage from this attack but they'll regain the mounted combat ability on the Chiss' turn.

I believe Sienn is up next.

Osten focuses his fire on the last breather, hoping to save the folks in the bunker from a fiery death.

Spoiler: Attack Rolls (hover to show)

Krusseck steadies himself and shakes off the brunt of the beetles' attacks.  As confident as he is, the Trandoshan realizes that he can't last against both these beetles and their crews.  His best bet was to try to get onto the platform where the warriors were and slay them before dealing with the beetle itself.  He makes a jump upward, hopping onto a leg before vaulting himself into the middle of the Yuuzhan Vong.

Go ahead and burn the force point to modify the roll if you like, sienn. I like the possibility of redeeming a roll using a FP more than my current system.

Spoiler: :( (hover to show)

Despite seeing the Firebreather still standing Furbal notices that his allies seem to have some cover from it but sees Scales greatly outnumbered across the fields.  Suspecting something not right with one of those beast, and to make Krusseck's life a little more interesting, he takes aim.
Spoiler: Actions (hover to show)
Hey RA-JR, see if you can WEAKEN(ing strike) the other beast by Krusseck to help improve his chances!

From the hole in the ground Tyro surveys the field.  That one beast looks like its about to blow but it's not down yet.  Krusseck just got slammed hard but seem to recover and should be getting some marksman support.  Then we've got these two behemoths that look like the could flank the bunker and close it off.  While he regrets leaving the Chiss Tyro decides it's time to take to the sky.
Spoiler: Actions & attacks (hover to show)
"Soldiers, fire at the same targets again.  Adam, move away so the beast has to choose.

Firebreather 'A' bellows and topples to the ground, shaking the bunker with its proximity.

Likewise, beetle 'C' takes Furbal's hit hard and slows dramatically, the entire insect form shuddering.

RA-JR takes careful aim at beetle 'D'. The reptilian axe-wielder had clearly overstepped its capability and would require assistance.

RA-JR aims and fires a weakening shot at beetle 'D': 1d20(10)+12+2+2=26. This hits, dealing 4d10(23)+5=28-5=23 points of damage. It does not beat the damage threshold, but it does impose a -5 penalty to melee attacks and damage.

Chiss 'Adam' and 'Baker' make missile attacks on beetle 'A':
Adam rolls 1d20(9)+10 +1 (BL)= 20 which hits the beetle but misses the squad;  Damage 6d6(19)+5=24
Squad A uses MC 1d20(6)+17=23. Succeeds and beetle takes half damage (12)-5=7

Baker rolls 1d20(19)+10 = 29; Damage 6d6(13)+2d6(12)+5; This hits both with SER taking 13 and squad taking 30/2=15.

Adam moves away from the bunker (2 diagonals).

Chiss 'Chad' and 'Dave' make missile attacks on beetle 'B':

Chad rolls 1d20(2)+10 = 12; Damage 6d6(28)+5 =33; Does hit for half on SER which would take 11.

Dave rolls 1d20(15)+10 = 25; Damage 6d6(25)+2d6( 8 )+5; Would hit SER for 25 and also hits the dex-denied squad which could take 38/2=19

Squad B uses MC 1d20(16)+17=33 to reduce the damage to the beetle. Succeeds and beetle instead takes half damage (15)=5=10

Krusseck, as you board the thorax of the beetle, the ghoulish visages of a quartet of warriors meet you. Together, they raise their amphistaffs to attack you.

Squad 'C' is going to make a melee area attack with their amphistaffs: 1d20(12)+17=29. Just barely a miss on REF and FORT, saving Krusseck the worst of it, but he still takes 1d8(5)+11=16/2=6 points of damage.

The squad is going to let the beetle rest while they focus on fighting Krusseck. Instead, the mount takes 3 swift actions to move itself up the condition track to -5.

Spoiler: 'Mount Actions' (hover to show)

Squad 'D' is going to spend a swift action to make a ride check DC20 to spur their beetle forward with an extra 2 speed: 1d20(13)+17=30. Since they did this last round, the beetle needs to make an endurance check DC20: 1d20(10)+10=20. Both succeed, so beetle 'D' has a movement of 10 for this round. They spend a move action to move towards Torkad and then spend a standard action to make a razor bug attack on him: 1d20(16)+16+1(PB)=33 which beats Torkad's REF normally, but he has partial cover +5 from the trench which puts him at 34 (unless I used the wrong build in the forum), so he takes only half damage: 2d8(11)+8+1(PB)=20/2=10 dmg.

Squad 'A' is going to use a move action to reposition and then make a standard action to make a mounted charge towards Osten. As the charge concludes, beetle 'A' is going to make an attack against Osten: 1d20(18)+19+2=39, which hits Osten even if he had cover from the trench. Osten takes 2d6(10)+26=36 damage as the beetle bares down on his position.

Squad B is going to charge towards Torkad, using trample as they go. They do trigger the mine (Tyro can roll an attack/damage, I don't think it will move the condition track). THe beetle rolls 1d20(4)+19+2=25 which misses Torkad handily. The beetle charges over the top of the trench and then lashes out with its staghorn to hit Torkad from behind, now devoid of cover: 1d20(13)+19+2=34 which hits Torkad for 2d6(6)+26=32 points of damage.

Spoiler: 'Map Turn 9' (hover to show)

There may be comments so we'll hold for that and then Ghondar is up.
