For what it's worth some of my next "choices" down would have included someone with Impel Ally II (although a second standard doesn't help Aim based characters) or the Jedi Consular who may just be getting the melee on but is also a Force Wizard type.  I know the Skill vs. Defense issue is brought up somewhat frequently but at this level the difference between a character with skill focus under the RAW and using SAM is down to +3; still doesn't help a low WILL beast at all.  Of course here if you were using heavier YV Warrior instead of the beasts those guys would be immune to being moved by WILL targeting effects granted they can be targeted by other things.

Going forward, I'd be excited to participate in the next sandbox - I know one person expressed interest in setting it up, I don't know if they are still interested.

it was Reign_of_the_Jedi_Lords.  I sent him a message to let him know that he could post something when he was ready.  Hopefully, he is still interested.  I always like seeing what sort of Sith BBEG other people make.

I can't help but notice he hasn't been on in awhile...were any of you interested in running one?

If not, there is a modicum of a possibility I could run another concept for my same RL campaign, a few levels down the line...

You have another encounter you'd like "tested" granted it sounds like we didn't "test" fast enough here.

Well, my RL group moves at a snail's pace generally, so I was surprised when we got to this last encounter so quickly. At that rate we're going though, I genuinely think it'll be about a year to get to this next one I have planned - it's the finale for this campaign, and it's been 3 years in coming.

If there genuinely is nothing else, I could potentially bring in the elements I had planned. It would probably be quicker than this one - more straightforward but with a difficult setting and opponents. Smaller arena, too.

Update: I am about ready to go ahead and post another recruitment thread for a second sandbox. If anyone else has a desire to run one, go ahead and call it first and you have priority!

To get the gears moving on what you can bring to the table, the encounter will be designed for 5-6 level 14 PCs. It is part of the same campaign we were already running, and still against Yuuzhan Vong. So if you want to add a few levels on to your PCs from this encounter, I'm all for it!

I hope it is OK to jump in with a comment, now that the action is finished.

Impel Ally II can be great if you find a way to aim with ONE swift action. I think there is at least 1 talents that let you do this! Sniping Master from the Assassin PrC let you do this, but not before level 12 I think. There is a talent that let you aim as a Move action, but that would require 2 Move and 2 Standard actions to take advantage of...

Now something that would be great is if you had a Noble with Inspire Zeal. That would increase every movement on the CT by +1 within LOS. This would let you take down those nasties even faster.

I think I'll bring another build to the table in place of Krusseck (and definitely not Osten :) ).  This is just as much an experiment for us as for you, and I don't get the option very often to try new things.

But Osten just needed a good bit of coaching.  Had the Officier realized this he could have gotten a good bit of "help" to maximize his abilities.  Of course it depends entirely on the scenario but with Osten's turrets I figure they'd do the most good when placed near his control limit and spaced apart to create some kind of "kill zone" where finding cover from one weapon leaves you open to the other.  Of course I also think he could do wonders with WP-heavy and a grenade launcher especially when he can have a nearly unlimited number.  Now I'll give you there are other things the kid could use some work on.

As for who to bring along I'd have to advance some characters (most of mine only get planned to 10th or so) and depending on how the scenario sets up I could see some other character(s) coming along.

Terribly sorry everyone, I've been pretty busy in real life lately. I do indeed wish to test my Sith Lord against you lot of veterans, but I'm too busy currently to do so. Sorry again, I know I called the next encounter and then failed to show up when this one was over.
